I purchased this product because I have three coax lines running to my TV. Two for my DirecTV HD DVR and one for basic cable. I could not find any surge suppressors in the stores that had three coax inputs, not even the overpriced ones offered by Monster. So, I originally had to use two separate surge strips so all of the coax inputs were protected. I purchased this one based on the reviews and it has worked out great for me. I can connect all of my devices to this one surge strip and my entire system is protected.
This company got it right by adding an ethernet input along with the telephone input. So many hi-tech HD devices accept ethernet connections. In fact, I added a wireless router to my HD set-up because my blu-ray player, PS3 and HD DVR all needed ethernet connections. This can be a source for electrical surges that most people are not aware of. For example, I had a cable modem, router and ethernet card in my PC all get fried due to a surge.
Also, all of the outlets support those huge transformer plugs. My system does not have 10 of these, but sometimes when your surge strip does not have enough outlets to support these plugs, they can take up 2 or 3 regular outlets, which can be frustrating. So, this is a nice added feature.
One thing to note, however, this surge strip is huge. The pictures do not do it justice. To accommodate all of these great features, it definitely wasn't possible to make this thing compact. Although, if properly placed, it doesn't really matter how big it is because no one will see it. This is a price I'm will to pay so that my hi-tech devices are properly protected and so I do not have to use multiple surge strips.

I recently bought a number of medium grade surge protectors to see what's out there. I really like this model--the outlets are spaced nicely--you could plug in 10 power bricks if you needed to--the joule rating is pretty decent at 4200. The unit feels well-made and heavy, but it is all plastic. Without comparing it to other models at the $50-$70 price point, it's a fine surge protector in terms of build and outlets. But comparing it to similarly priced units from other vendors and the build quality isn't quite as a nice--Belkin has a unit that is only $10 more, metal construction, and a built-in cord management system to reduce clutter. So shop around and try to see these in person if that kind of thing matters to you. However, if you're looking for the cheapest medium grade surge protector--or if you need to protect against surges in 3 coax sources--this will do the trick.

What can I say? I installed the Cyberpower 1010HT surge suppressor a couple of months ago and have since been hit by several short commercial power outages, a major brown-out and a long power outage lasting about 24 hours. The 1010HT did the job and protected the equipment plugged into it including a LCD TV and home theater system. Would definitely recommend to friends.

Product is highly rated on most sites by consumers and to follow suit I purchased one myself. Its a nice design without having to cram your cords and plugins together. Plus I liked the mounting feature so it keeps it nicely hidden and out of site with no cords dangling against the floor.
