Using the supplied external rod antenna, the integrated ATSC tuner will let you select any digital channels that are available by over-the-air broadcast.  Surprisingly High Quality TV - A Best Buy September 2, 2009

The Viore PLC7V95 TV has exceeded all my expectations. Read all the reviews for this TV as well as those for other portable TVs such as the Axion, Haier, New Digital Image, Supersonic, etc. None of these units had a 4½ or 5-Star rating. As a small portable digital TV, the Viore is suprisingly high quality with excellent performance for such a low price. Similar units that I found elsewhare were in a much higher price range of $150 to $350.
I have a policy of not buying any electronic unless I am able to discuss it with the manufacturer's tech support staff. This TV is now on Viore's website and its tech support was very responsive and easy to contact. None of the other vendors such as Axion, Haier, New Digital Image, etc. would respond to my emails or phone calls. The only exception was Tivax which was responsive.
Pros:
* LCD screen resolution is very high for a 7" portable TV. The Viore (1,440 x 234) resolution has a pixel density that is 3-times greater than Axion's, Haier's & Tivax's (480 x 234). Although not HD, its resolution is outstanding.
* Viewing angle horizontally is wide . . easy to view when off to either side.
* Station reception. This has been a consistent problem for many users. I played with the antenna and its location and found that it is more than adequate. Proper use requires extending the cord its full length since it is part of the reception capability and locating it where there is less interference. When not properly position, I could not get any stations. When positioned at full wire length and near a window, I received 10-digital stations which is double of what I supposted to get according to signal strength ratings. When connected to my TV cable, I was able to receive all digital stations.
Note: Digital TV has a weaker signal than analog. The digital mobile TV standards are still being established. Within the next couple of years we should have portable TVs available that are truly mobile.
* Full functioning controls similar to my Samsung HDTVs . . screen and sound adjustments, etc. wheather using the remote control or controls on the unit.
* Has an excellent electronic program guide that provides actual programming by station.
* Both the USB and 3 in 1 card reader work as expected for pictures, videos and sound. Just need to have your files in proper file format.
* Although stereo speakers are small, the sound may be adjusted to avoid sounding tinny. I just maximize base and minimize treble. The sound is very good with earphones.
* Battery duration. The specs say it has about a 90-minute charge for portable use. I got about 100-minutes. My main use is as a desktop unit using the AC adapter.
* Battery recharging is relatively fast with a red light while charging and turns green when fully charged.
Cons:
* Car adapter is not supplied; however, I had one from an analog portable TV and it worked well. You can buy one for about $10 from RadioShack.
* Remote control is acceptable; however, it has a relatively narrow angle of view. I use it as my primary control since it is easy to use and fully functional. Once you realize is limitations, it works well.
* The kick stand cannot be adjusted for verticle angle of viewing. I resolved the problem by buying a small attractive display stand for about $4 locally. Now I can adjust the viewing angle as I want. The small display stand can be purchased from Amazon.com. It is a Gibson Holders "1 Pl" with a clear plastic base and a white plastic coated wire support.
Highly recommend the Viore as an outstanding buy.

I purchased this unit and I wanted to share a couple of observations with those of you trying to decide what to buy.
- Picture quality was really good
- I like the USB and SD card reader functions (this is really nice and I didn't see this option on the other 7" units on Amazon)
- Remote control is nice not high end but it works just fine
- Sound was pretty good. I really didn't expect much but I was impressed
- You have to remove the plastic protective film from this unit. I noticed a couple of other customers complained about scratched screens and I thought I might have the same problem but when I took a good look at the TV I noticed the protective plastic cover and once I removed this everything was good to go. They probably should have put a little tab that said pull here or something.
- I was able to get several channels so I thought the reception was pretty good
I gave it 5 stars. Good little TV and it looks like it will do what I need it to do. Oh yeah, make sure you go to the menu and scan for channels. You have to do this in order to find channels using the antenna. I hate reading manuals but I really didn't have a choice when I first set this bad boy up.

Viore PLC7V95 7-Inch Portable LCD TV with Built-in Tuner Purchased this unit to use around the house and for emergency situations. The screen is very clear and the picture is pretty impressive for a 7" TV. You can also watch movies from an SD card or USB drive which makes this unit very functional. I was able to find about 12 channels with the external antenna and I was very surprised at how well this piece worked. It isn't going to replace a much larger TV but if you want something that is portable to watch while you are cooking, grilling, etc. this is a great unit. I have two labs and I can be outside with them while they play and still watch TV. The price is also better than the other units on amazon. I was so impressed that I'm going to purchase one for my dad for father's day. Thanks amazon!

I was looking to replace an older portable TV that had stopped working with the digital transition so I decided to purchase this unit. I have been pleasantly surprised with the picture quality. I really like that it has a built in SD card reader and the ability to play media from a USB drive. The antenna is external and has a magnetic bottom and seems to work well. I noticed that the number of channels I was able to receive really depended on my physical location. I am sure would be able to receive additional channels if I purchased a better antenna but the one that came in the box seems to do a good enough job for me. I would recommend this unit to others and I am glad I decided to purchase this particular device. There are a lot of 7" TVs to choose from but this unit looked the most attractive and I seemed to have lucked out.
Couple of Pros and Cons:
Pros
Picture quality is really nice, SD card reader, external antenna ( I was told by a buddy that the units with an attached antenna do not get nearly as good of a signal), remote control, pretty easy to scan for channels, battery life was about 1.5 hours (not too shabby).
Cons
I did not like how the cable jack on the side was recessed. This is not a huge deal but it makes it a little difficult to access.
Conclusion: Good picture and nice little portable TV

Oh My Gosh! This is just what I awas looking for! Since the digital changeover, I have been in severe withdrawal for my little TV that is located in my bathroom (OK-I like it when I am getting ready in the morning) I was scouring Ebay and Amazon for the perfect little TV and found it with the Viore. I did not know the brand and took a chance- but it worked. Clear, sharp, picture, easy to set up, lots of channels (with no cable hooked up)and a great price point. I would recommend this to anyone- and have. Like the other reviewers have said, don't forget to take the protective film off the screen. It fits so tightly, it looks like it is a scratched up bad screen, until you peel it off. Enjoy your new "toy"
